How do you get more auditions?

Ok well first of all it doesn't matter if you’re repped with an agent or by yourself. And that is probably going to anger both audiences who have or don’t have reps but let me explain.

I am not trying to upset you - TRUST. I am trying to help you get the power back!

So let’s talk about how we get more auditions.

  • Firstly, are your materials in order?

  • Really? How old are your headshots?

  • Have you updated your online acting profile?

  • Have you posted anything on Instagram?

  • Have you checked into with your business contacts by email?

  • Updated your contacts?

  • Found out what they are up to?

  • Have you done any editorial photos or a photo shoot to capture your current vibe and posted it?

  • Have you made a recent vision board?

  • Have you been doing your self-care?

  • Have you tried doing self-submissions? If they’re not working have you tried doing new hooks in the message box? What’s a hook - it’s a marketing tool that is a sentence or action that entices someone to read or keep watching.

Look I could actually go on and I do go into a lot more detail but everyone has to take a look at their own career path? Their own materials, resume, where they are at, and ask what can I do?

Sometimes we need help with this and yes here comes the sales pitch but I offer career counseling where we actually make a plan.

You get PDF to-do lists and we create an action plan.

We even film content if you are in NYC.

We work on emails, social media, and representation. So if you feel you could benefit from this. Book me through my website. Now here are three things you can do right now to get more auditions:

  1. Update your contact list with what you’ve been doing. Make it exciting and fun! Don’t be a bore.

  2. Self Submit to at least 3 roles this week. Even if you have an agent and use a fun “hook”

  3. Look into a different market - meaning if you’re not getting any auditions in New York, try submitting or getting an agent in Atlanta.
